Urgent and emergency relocation appeal: help Mohammed’s family evacuate from Gaza to safety and survive

Dear compassionate friends, my name is Mohammed. I am facing unimaginable hardship amidst the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip.

His house was previously bombed on its residents several months before this war, and they miraculously escaped death, and Mohammed rebuilt it again.

Regrettably, his upscale neighborhood, which was enjoying calm, was destroyed due to the continuous bombing, which led to the losing of his work and the destruction of his house and his family living in constant fear and continuous displacement from one area to another within the cities and villages of the Gaza Strip, where they have been displaced up to 10 times so far to save their lives, reaching at the end to living in a tent on the corner of the road in the central region of the Gaza Strip, where this tent lacks the minimum necessities of human life.

Mohammed’s children are innocent souls who should be playing freely. They are always haunted by the sounds of terrifying explosions every night and the specter of death looms over their lives.

They love to live and live like all the people of the world. Our hearts break when we witness their suffering, because we know that they deserve so much more than the horrors of war, to live in safety and peace and to be assured of their future. With each passing day, the situation becomes more and more serious and dangerous.

These beautiful souls and innocent eyes must be saved from the danger of death, as they cannot live in this imminent danger.

The memories which all the family members cherished, and the warmth of their daily gatherings have all been turned into rubble.

Now, living a precarious life in tents, their plight is compounded by exploitation, as aid that was supposed to be distributed freely is sold at exorbitant prices. They paid almost $1000 for tents that were supposed to be provided for free. Living without shelter, water, food or access to basic medicines is an unbearable reality, especially considering my friend's health conditions where he has cartilage in his neck and another in his back, and he cannot afford to live in tents.

They remain in danger. They are now helpless, living in a tent, enduring starvation, dehydration, lacking healthcare, and suffering immensely in the cold rain in the winter and the hot season in the summer.

In this time of desperation, Mohammed has made the difficult decision to seek refuge elsewhere for the safety and well-being of his family, which consists of his parents, his wife Islam, and his four young children (Malak, Yazan, Alma, and Ivana).

However, they face significant obstacles, including the exorbitant fees demanded to cross the borders out of Gaza. I urge you to join us in supporting Mohammed’s journey to safety by helping us raise $50,000. This amount will cover the expenses necessary to secure their exit from the conflict zone towards a brighter future once the Rafah crossing opens ($5,000 per person with total $40,000) in addition to $10,000 to cover the costs of living expenses until obtaining a job.
